Conflict Detection
Prevent double-booking your crew.
Person Trail prevents double-booking the same crew member for overlapping time slots. No more calling someone only to find out they're already on another job.
How It Works
When you assign a crew member to a job, Person Trail checks their existing schedule. If they already have a job that overlaps with the new time slot, you'll see a conflict warning before the assignment goes through.
This check runs for both:
- Manual assignment -- When you pick a crew member from the dropdown
- Auto-assignment -- Crew members with conflicts are excluded from recommendations automatically
What You See
If a conflict is detected during manual assignment, a warning appears showing:
- The conflicting job name
- The overlapping time window
- The option to proceed anyway or choose a different crew member
Resolving Conflicts
To resolve a scheduling conflict:
- Reschedule one of the overlapping jobs to a different time
- Reassign one of the jobs to a different crew member
- Override the warning if you know the crew member can handle both (for example, if jobs are at the same location)
